First day of 3rd year

My first day of school was a raging success! It probably didn't hurt that I only had one class... NURS 372 Nursing Care of Families with Young Children from 8-9:30.... yea, my schedule kind of stinks, but it's growing on me and I'm treasuring my free mornings/afternoons... I mean... I'm utilizing all those extra hours for study time .... yea! That's what I'm doing!!! *shifty eyes*
It was a typical first day of class with get to know each others games (pretty unnecessary at this point)/how our summers were, going over the course outline for the term, going over our expectations for the class/what is expected of us & not having time to get into any real material.
I think I am really going to enjoy this class. As far as I know as of right now I want to end up in the neonate/pediatric area of nursing & this is the first class that will really focus on those areas. So I'M EXCITEDD!!! :D
The prof seems pretty nice, but at this point it is too hard to tell what kind of a teacher she'll be.

Tomorrow: NURS 372 LAB
NURS 370
HLST 354

Let the learning begin.

An adorable cat in a hat... 'cause why not!

3rd Year Is Quickly Approaching...

So here I am having just finished my second final of the summer (I took Human Sexuality & Nursing Research this summer to lighten my course load for 3rd year) & school is already back in just 16 short days!!! SERIOUSLY. Where does the time go? I want to know. I am DETERMINED to make blogging a habit this year. I REALLY want to hold onto these memories of school for ever and ever.. and I have already forgotten SOO much from the past 2 years. :( But the important stuff has stayed with me. I have made amazing friends, I've had incredibly supportive teachers and I have officially crossed over the half way point in my nursing education. When I heard people say how fast it flies by, I honestly didn't expect it to be THIS fast. I could swear last week was my first day. I'm happy it wasn't though. I have learned so very much and grown as a person in all the best ways. I have BIG plans for after graduation and a lot of exciting plans along the way.

The countdown begins... 16 days until I start my 3rd year of nursing school!!!!!

I could not be happier about it.
